INPRIO has successfully sold a 10.39 acre site in Newry for £1.6m. The site, which is zoned for industrial development, will house the new headquarters and distribution hub for S&W Wholesale.
The sale forms part of Chancellors Exchange, a 22 acre site at Chancellors Road, Newry, located beside the A1 dual carriageway and just 5 miles from the border. The new facility will comprise circa 180,000 square feet housing ambient, chilled, fresh and frozen products alongside office space and recycling areas.
Commenting on the deal, Michael Skelton, MD, S&W Wholesale said “Over the past number of years, we have experienced sustained growth and this investment into the new multi-purpose site is aimed at facilitating this growth further and to provide our employees with a better working environment, as well as providing a more efficient way of working across the entire business.
“The site will become more eco-friendly focused with the introduction of solar panels, electric car charging points and methods of reducing waste, reducing S&W’s carbon footprint for the future”.
